Join the DMP Volunteer Rangers who will lead a sunset hike to mark the Winter Solstice.
Please do not book a slot unless you are certain you can attend.
The hike will commence from Tibradden Forest. From there, we’ll trace the path of the Dublin Mountains Way, leading us to the historical Tibradden Cairn. Our next stop will be Fairy Castle before making our way to the Three Rock aiming to Ballyedmonduff Wedge Tomb in time to witness the breathtaking sunset over Dublin Bay. Following this, we’ll navigate back via the Two Rock.
Our return journey will bring us back to Tibradden, with an estimated arrival time of 19:00.
The hike route surfaces include footpaths, gravel trails and forest floor. On a clear day the views along the route are breathtaking.

Duration: 6 hours, approximately.
Distance: 15km approximately, 500m of climb.
Degree of difficulty: Moderate to strenuous.
Bring: Walking boots, rain gear, warm layers, torch, food, snacks, hot drink and water.
Meeting point: Tibradden Forest at 13:00.
