About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us on a guided walk of UCC’s biodiversity trail and the Glucksman’s current exhibition Groundwork: Climate awareness in the UCC Art Collection. The University College Cork campus is rich in biodiversity and participants will learn about some of the 451 flora and fauna that make this urban oasis their home. The new Biodiversity Trail provides an accessible space for those who are new to wildlife watching, as well as being enjoyable for seasoned naturalists. The guided walk will highlight how artists interpret and represent biodiversity, starting with a focus on key works within the Groundwork exhibition before heading out on the trail where participants will be given basic creative approaches and materials to allow them to respond to the University arboretum, wildflower meadow, and River Lee.

Creative Wanderings: Biodiversity & Art at UCC is a collaboration between UCC Sustainability and Climate Action Office, the Glucksman and Cork City Council.
