The Couch to 5k programme is a physical activity programme specifically aimed at anyone who has been particular sedentary for the last number of weeks. Starts on Tuesday 25th of Feb at 6pm and again on Thursday 27th of Feb at 5pm

The programme is also designed to be more of a walking and jogging programme than a running programme.

The programme is structured to help people ease into physical activity so as it is not strenuous or difficult enough that it will put people off doing it.

Each session the coach will go through the fundamentals of starting running, from pacing, stretching mobility and improving your fitness over the weeks.

The aim of this programme is to increase their physical activity levels so that the participants will be able to run or Jog 5 kilometres after 8 weeks. At the end of the 8 weeks we hope to bring all the participants to the Connect 5k Event on the 21st of April or their local Park Run or join the Boyne AC running club.
