Social and environmental challenges have become increasingly complex - and urgent and amplified during the recent pandemic. This is challenging us to rethink solutions and approaches to activate change and create lasting impact.

Tackling large scale and higher risk projects cannot be done through grants alone; many are better suited for a mix of funding options to scale effort and maximise impact. Resourcing initiatives and deployment of capital can be reimagined; there is learning and insight on models undertaken elsewhere.

Private, public, and non-profit sectors all have important roles to play; collaborative working creates potential to achieve greater impact that is financially sustainable.

Utilising a flexible suite of investment tools and approaches, funders can collectively achieve impact in addressing some of our most pressing social and environmental challenges.
