In 2016, towards the end of the first full season here on the farm, we went and put a couple of musicians up on a stage in the back field. It was done as a celebration for a successful growing season and a thank you to customers for a succesful first Summer of the roadside shop being open. It was great fun and two years later we did the same again with more musicians and had an even better day (and a night!) of it. 2020 Covid(boo) put a stop to the celebrations and it has taken us this long to make this event happen again. This year we have gone all out with the musicians, huge efforts have also gone towards turning the gardens into the beautiful outdoor spaces that they are today. We welcome you to join us for another fun filled afternoon and one which we are hoping to turn into an annual event! Its always a good thing to stop for a minute and give thanks to the land that nourishes us and the seasons that shape us. Hopefully we will see you there!!!!

Agus as Gaeilge; Seo ceolchoirm lán ghaeilge ó na lads óga a thosaighs an lá go dtí na sean lads breá seo a chríóchnaighs amach é! Beidh amhránaíocht ar an sean nós agus nósanna nach bhfuil i fhad i chor ar bith thart freisin againn. Seans go mbeidh cúpla step damhsa ann freisin.

Three of the local producers that supply beautiful home-made products to our roadside shop will be here on the day with their tasty goods and their stories. Support them if you can. We were also going to have some beer from a local brewary and we will see where we are with that one closer to the day. 'Sulliavans on wheels' the food truck of Sullivans Country Grocer are guaranteed to be there if anyone is hungry.

Note as well that polytunnel number four which is the one closest to the roadside shop is being worked on at the moment to make do as an indoor shelter for both musicians and audience should the weather call for it (update 22/9 it is starting to look like the sun for the weekend)

The event space is a natural amphitheatre on the farm in a place called 'Garraí na gClocha Arda' ; the high-stoned field. The field is both elevated and low lying and just beyond it to the west we have our polytunnels built. The top of the field allows for an inspiring view of galway bay and the field walls that protect the hill from all directions attest to the openess and hardships of this place when the wind blows. Down in the dell or the low lying area where the music will take place there is a peace and a tranquility there that lends so well to a music venue and especially a traditional music venue.

Frequently asked questions

do I need to pay for parking

No. Parking is made available next door. However Vehicles and their contents are parked at their owners risk and the business who is giving up the use of their carpark for the concert are in no way liable.

Will there be food available on site!?

There will be a food truck 'Sullivans on wheels' which is coming down from @sullivanscountrygrocer in Uachtar Ard and will be trading for the duration of the music. Also we have the @Potacafe just a half a mile away from us and they do takeaways there up until 4 o clock. They also do a great lunch!
