Cartoon Saloon Studio Visit

Our studio assistant will give a brief overview of the history of Cartoon Saloon and the visit offers the opportunity to step inside the Cartoon Saloon studio building however, due to it being a working studio, visitors will not encounter animators or enter production floors during the visit.

We are very excited about the work we do and we welcome visitors of all ages to come and visit. However, the tour gives an introduction to the animation process and the history of the studio and very small children may not find this so exciting. It's probably best suited to ages 7 and up.

To ensure we can continue offering tours without interfering with our production schedules, we add dates up to two months in advance. Please visit the calendar regularly for the latest date availability.

There is an opportunity to buy official Cartoon Saloon Merchandise at the end of your visit. Please note not all merchandise listed on our online store is available in the studio and we can only accept card payments in the studio.

The Cartoon Saloon buildings are working studios therefore due to the high volume of visitors we limit our visits to Thursdays only and booking is only available through Eventbrite.

You will learn about the history and works of Cartoon Saloon and view an exhibition of the feature film, My Father's Dragon, which takes you through the animation production process.

We welcome small groups (max 24) into our crew space on Thursdays where the visit lasts approx 75 mins.

Yes, the studio is wheelchair accessible throughout the visit.

While Cartoon Saloon is dog friendly, dogs other than service dogs are not allowed to join on the visit. If you wish to bring a service dog, please let us know during the order process, so we can accommodate this while being mindful of other visitors in your group who may have allergies/phobias etc.

We don't currently offer workshops, but during the visit we give people a short introduction to the history of the company and a brief overview of the animated film-making process.

If a visit is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather), we encourage you to explore other available dates on our page.If the cancellation is due to studio availability/demands, we will proactively offer alternative dates for you to reschedule your visit.

Our studio visit group size is limited to 24 people, and places tend to fill up quickly. If the number of tickets you require is not available online, we recommend checking for availability on alternative dates.
