Across many countries, far-right parties have gained ground by weaponising cultural debates and demonising the left. Their attacks - often centred on so-called ‘woke’ politics - serve to distract from real issues while pushing an antidemocratic agenda. How should the left respond?

Join us for our Annual Lecture as philosopher Susan Neiman and media innovator Mark Little engage in a thought-provoking dialogue on the future of the left. Chaired by Eamon Ryan, former Minister for the Environment, this discussion will explore how progressives can move beyond defensive politics to rebuild a movement rooted in universalism, solidarity, and justice.
