Crochet is the art of creating textiles by hand using a crochet hook and a series of stitches with yarn/wool or thread. While it is often compared to knitting, crochet uses only one hook and has an infinite number of different stitches to create different textures and patterns.
The word “Crochet” means “hook” in French!
This course is available for both absolute beginners and skilled crocheters, with different patterns available based on your own skill level!
In this workshop you will learn the basics of this wonderful craft with tutor James Cummins of MoodyGoose who makes crocheted clothes and writes the patterns for people to make their own versions of his designs full time. James will teach you the following:
Creating a chain, Single Crochet, Double Crochet,
Making a granny square (the ultimate building block for crochet blankets)
For more the more experienced, there are star shaped throw blankets and complex individual squares for making patchwork style designs!
All materials are supplied to make a full throw blanket!
