We're bringing together talent from across Galway industry and education to develop innovative AI solutions that can make a real impact. You'll be working on exciting and meaningful challenges focused on using AI to address real-world problems.

Developers, engineers, programmers, data scientists, AI enthusiasts, students, academics, product managers—anyone interested in AI and technology is invited to join the Challenge.

All participants are welcome, we encourage people to sign up as teams of 4.

What to Expect?

Kick-Off Event

Tue 6 May 2025, 5:00 - 8:00 pm, PorterShed Market Street

Join the Kick-Off Event to meet fellow participants over pizza and snacks in an informal setting. We'll give a brief overview of the challenge, including the AI problems you'll be addressing. Short talks on AI fundamentals, ethics, and cybersecurity will help prepare you. Whether you're in a team or looking to join one, this is a great opportunity to network and get ready for the main event.

Main Event

Fri 16 May, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, University of Galway

Collaborate with your team to develop AI solutions tackling real-world problems. You'll have access to resources like datasets and AI tools, with mentors available to support you throughout the day. After a day of focused work, present your solution to a panel of industry judges. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your skills, learn from others, showcase your ideas, and connect with professionals in the field.
