Stephen Murphy is a poet of the oral narrative tradition. His work mixes the old and the new, weaving from ancient mythologies through a current lens to social commentary through a unique blend of wit, warmth and humour. He's been described by President Michael D Higgins as "A splendid, wonderful, courageous young poet" on the stage of the Abbey Theatre and called "The highlight" of a previous Electric Picnic by The Irish Times. Millions of people have watched videos of his poetry online and he's performed to hundreds of thousands more in the flesh, though he lives a very quiet life on a sheep farm in the heart of Kerry.

Kate McDonald is a folk musician and hails from County Down. She currently lives in County Kilkenny where she writes and performs.
