About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Come join us for an evening of support and information as we navigate the journey of bereavement together. Anam Cara and The Solas Centre have teamed up to provide a safe space for those who have experienced child loss. With key note speaker Peter McCartan, a qualified Psychotherapist & FTAI Supervisor, formerly of Beaumont Hospital, with invaluable knowledge on bereavement & loss. Whether you are looking for information, guidance, or resources, this event is for you. Let's walk this path together.

Anam Cara is an all Island organisation that supports bereaved parents. Anam Cara's online and face to face services are available to all parents regardless of age or circumstances of their child's death and are available for as long as they are needed.

At Anam Cara we focus on the similarities of our loss rather than the differences and have found a level of support and understanding that others cannot offer. What unites us is that we are all bereaved parents.

The Solas Cancer Support Centre is one of the finest cancer support services in the country and the people of Waterford and the South East can be proud in the knowledge that this is due to their support and generosity. Without them, the Solas Cancer Support Centre would not be here.

We provide the highest quality cancer support services to the people of Waterford and the South East. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic we have adapted our services and now provide support services including, phone support and information, phone counselling, and remote wellness sessions. We provide free support for those affected by cancer, their families and carers.
