Step into a world where food, laughter, and meaningful connections come together. Mark Ahessy, Head Chef at The Old Spot in Dublin, is inviting you to Anam. Mark originally from Clonmel, Co Tipperary, has earned his stripes in the likes of Chapter One, L’Ecrivain, Pichet, Hang Dai, Taste by Dylan McGrath, to mention a few, before settling in Michelin recommended Gastro pub The Old Spot, Dublin, who have also published a book recently “The Old Spot Cook Book”.

The evening kicks off with a welcome drink as you take in June Blake’s Garden. Enjoy a wander around the tulips starting to come into flower, setting the perfect tone for the night ahead. Then, step into the intimate ambiance of The Grinding House for an exquisite dining experience crafted by Mark Ahessy.


Each table holds ten seats, creating a perfect environment for lively conversation and unforgettable memories. Will one of them be yours?

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes there is plenty of parking here

Is it possible to leave a car and collect in the morning?

Yes no problem at all

Do we have a vegetarian menu?

Only if it is prebooked with us, but no problem once you let us know in advance.

As The Grinding House is a converted farm building, will it be cold?

No! It most definitely will not be cold. The floor is polished concrete and heated, if anything it might be too warm!
