Always Children First: Child Safeguarding Awareness

(Foundation Level)



Always Children First Foundation level training for Childminders is taking place over two half evenings. Attendees must attend both dates. Thursday 13th of March 18:00- 21:00 & Tuesday 18th of March 18:00 - 21:00.


Always Children First training for Childminders is required by those who have not completed it previously or whose certificate is out of date. This full day's training will:

  • Build on previous learning from the Tusla eLearning programme
  • Provide further understanding of child safeguarding practice for those who work directly with children and/or families



Please note:

  • All participants must complete the Tusla eLearning programme prior to attendance and send through certificate of completion: https://www.tusla.ie/children-first/children-first-e-learning-programme/
  • Mandated Persons must complete the Tusla Mandated Person eLearning programme beforehand and send through certificate of completion: Mandated Person eLearning moduleTusla - Child and Family Agency
  • Booking on a first come, first served basis
  • Maximum booking of 2 people per Childminding service
  • Childminders within Dublin City will be prioritised (If this criteria does not apply to you, your booking may be cancelled)
  • Cost: €10 per training per person
  • No refunds
  • Names can be changed
