About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Would you like to join our Adult Support group online to discuss concerns, issues and your experiences of ADHD in your relationships, education or work life. In partnership with Turn2me we are now hosting the group online monthly and these peer to peer sessions enable those experiencing the daily challenges of living with ADHD to offer support and guidance to each other, particularly at this uncertain time.

The group is organised through Turn2Me's online platform which is a trusted and monitored online platform. Places are limited, so ensure that you register in advance.

Registration details will be emailed to each participant once you have registered here on Eventbrite. Once you have registered for a place in the group that will secure your place and you can then log in on the evening at the start time. NOTE: Please do not register if you think you cannot participate in the session because places are limited and it may take up a space that someone else would like to use.

The Support Group Guidelines are as follows:

    • Everything discussed within the group is confidential and not to be discussed outside the group

    • Medication advice will not be given – ADHD Ireland are not clinicians and not qualified to moderate discussions on medication

    • Everyone will be given an opportunity to speak, if they wish to do so, however, there is no obligation on anyone to speak

    • Anonymity is important, particularly for online groups, therefore usernames only should be used and not actual names

    • Be respectful in allowing other people a chance to speak, try and avoid speaking over each other

    • Feedback can be given after the group by email to info@adhdireland.ie

Log in details will be emailed to each participant once you have registered here on Eventbrite. Once you have registered for a place in the group that will secure your place and you can then log in on the evening at the start time.

Please do not register if you think you cannot participate in the session because places are limited and it may take up a space that someone else would like to use.

**Please note** This group is a peer support group; we are not mental health professionals and therefore not trained to deal with Mental health disorders, and it is not a space to talk about personal trauma. The support we offer is only support. We advise if you have any significant issues or are seeking medical advice, then please speak to your GP. If you ever feel you are in mental health crisis and need urgent help, call The HSE YourMentalHealth Information Line on freephone 1800 111 888 anytime day or night, or visit your local A and E.

A free, 24/7 service, providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support for people going through mental health or emotional crisis. Free-text HELLO to 50808 to chat with a trained volunteer, any time.

Urgent help: if you need to get urgent help for a mental health issue and your GP is not available, you can contact a GP out-of-hours service or access mental health services through your local mental health unit or hospital.

Emergency: If you or someone you know needs emergency help call 999 or 112
