A visit to the Chester Beatty Library: a new tour

A visit to one of the finest collections of printed and hand-illuminated art treasures in the world: this special new tour features a personal selection of highlights, ranging from richly-illuminated, medieval Christian manuscripts, bibles and lectionaries, through steel plate engravings from the court and a. Chinese war-lord emperor, to several exquisite examples of illuminated poetry, calligraphy and painted miniatures hailing from the Arabic and Persian traditions.


Meet your guide Arran at 11.15AM, outside Chez Max restaurant, or directly next door, outside the Sick and Indigent Room-Keepers’ House.

Both are side-by side on little Palace Street, just off Dame Street, in central Dublin 2.
