About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Energy Cork is delighted to invite you to attend our upcoming Lunchtime Briefing taking place on Thursday 16th January 2025 from 1230 to 1400 at the Clayton Hotel, Lapp's Quay, Cork.

The Lunchtime Briefing will focus on the topics of maximising the use of renewable energy in Cork, reducing curtailment and making the most of Cork's renewable energy resources. County Cork is a leading producer of renewable electricity and this power is used within the region and beyond. Some of this power can, for various reasons, be curtailed or constrained leading to renewable energy being wasted.

This Lunchtime Briefing will look at some of the reasons for this and how this can be changed to facilitate more renewable electricity generation - onshore and offshore.

We're delighted to have two excellent speakers on this topic (Bios below):

Patrick Calnan - Reasire

David Noronha - EirGrid plc

We're grateful to both speakers, as well as Reasire and EirGrid plc for participating in this Lunchtime Briefing and giving us the benefit of their expertise.

The Briefing is taking place in association with Engineers Ireland's Cork Region and Energy, Environment and Climate Action Division.

The Event will be introduced by Dori Tallent the Chair of Energy Cork.

Energy Cork events are free events and open to both members and non-members of Energy Cork. Registration is essential. Simply register via the link on the right.

This event is made possible by the support of Cork County Council and Cork City Council via their respective Economic Development Funds.
