Focus group principals and deputy principals
Your voice is important to help inform of the development of future policy to address educational disadvantage.
The Department of Education is undertaking a programme of work that will consider the allocation of resources to all schools, both DEIS and non-DEIS, aimed at supporting all students, regardless of background, to achieve their potential in education.
As part of this body of work the Department of Education there will be engaging with relevant stakeholders from across the education sector in order to inform a future policy direction with regards to resourcing schools to support children at risk of educational disadvantage across the education system.
Principals and deputy principals, as those who are well placed to inform future policy in this area, are a key stakeholder and an important voice in shaping of the Department’s future direction in addressing educational disadvantage. Attendees will all have opportunities to give their thoughts and ideas for how to direct possible future policy changes.
Focus groups will be approximately two and a half hours long and begin at 10.00am.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
