Knowledge Translation Program
The Knowledge Translation Program (KTP) at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto works with researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and other knowledge users to develop strategies to put knowledge into practice at the clinical, community and policy levels. Our vision is to ensure high-quality evidence reaches patients and their essential care partners, healthcare providers, and decision-makers. We do this by leading evidence syntheses , and optimising evidence implementation through effective situational analyses, and behaviour, organization, and system strategies. We engage, knowledge users to co-create tailored products to improve quality of care and outcomes.
Evidence Synthesis Ireland (ESI) has engaged the KTP to build capacity among their Fellows, and other interested trainees, in knowledge translation.

Background
Develop your knowledge translation (KT) plan with our KT online training. Whether you are preparing your proposal for grant submission or at the start, middle, or end of your research, this training will help you learn why and how to develop an effective KT plan. This training will help you set and meet your individual KT learning goals, give you the knowledge and skills to effectively develop your KT plan, and strengthen your grant proposals.

Aim
To build capacity in Knowledge Translation among Evidence Synthesis Ireland trainees.

Objectives
The objective of this workshop is to provide learners with a framework to communicate and disseminate their research findings.

Learning outcomes
Upon course completion, participants will be able to:

• Identify and apply a framework to communicate and disseminate research findings to key audiences.

• Develop and implement a targeted knowledge translation plan

• Understand principles of how to communicate research findings to lay audiences
